FAQ

Asked before every partnership.

The straight answers on turnaround, revisions, white-label guarantees, and how the money works.

What is white-label design, exactly?

We produce complete design packages — drawings, schedules, moodboards, photoreal 3D renderings, and a full material take-off with an estimate — and every deliverable carries your company's brand: your logo, your colors, your templates. We even meet your clients as your design team when you want us to. Contractually, +Design stays invisible: your client never learns our name, we never claim the work publicly, and you own the files outright.

How fast is turnaround on a design package?

Moodboards land within 2 business days of a complete brief so you can lock direction with your client early. Full packages — renderings, take-off, and estimate — typically deliver in 5 to 7 business days for a kitchen or bath, a little longer for whole-home scopes. Revision rounds turn in 1 to 2 business days. If a hot lead needs speed, flag it when you submit and we prioritize accordingly.

What's included in a design package?

The complete draft set a design and drafting firm would produce: dimensioned floorplans, elevations to NKBA standards, and full schedules — doors, windows, cabinets, finishes, fixtures — plus curated moodboards, photoreal 3D renderings of your client's actual space, a complete material take-off, and a line-item estimate priced against your own price list, all assembled in a presentation deck under your brand. Optional add-ons: a cinematic video walkthrough and a VR-ready 3D file. Drawings arrive engineering-ready; stamps and structural engineering stay with your engineer of record.

How does the price-list setup work?

During onboarding, you share your real numbers: supplier and dealer pricing, labor and sub rates, and your markup structure. We build them into your account, and every estimate we produce from then on is priced from that list — not national cost databases or regional averages. When your costs change, send us the update and it applies to all future packages. This is why our estimates are numbers you can actually sign at your actual margin.

What's your revisions policy?

Two revision rounds are included with every package, which covers the overwhelming majority of projects — the moodboard step exists precisely to catch direction changes before rendering begins, when changes are cheap. Revisions turn in 1 to 2 business days. If a project genuinely needs more rounds, additional revisions are available; in practice, most packages are approved after one.

Who owns the design files?

You do. Renderings, moodboards, take-offs, and estimates are all delivered under your brand with full usage rights — use them in proposals, on your website, in your marketing, wherever. We don't publish your projects in our portfolio or name you as a client without your written permission.

Do you talk to my clients?

Yes — as your design team. We take over the design process so you can rest easy: your designer runs the client design meetings under your company name, your deck, your brand, and you're welcome to sit in on any of them. What we never do is reveal +Design, market to your customer list, or work with your client outside your brand. To your client, we're simply your designer — they know your company, not ours. That's written into our agreement, not just promised.

Should I choose the subscription or a-la-carte?

A-la-carte packages are $1,500 each — the right fit when you're testing the service or run only a couple of design-stage projects a month. The subscription is $6,000 per month for up to 10 packages, an effective $600 each, plus priority turnaround. The break-even is simple: at 4 or more packages a month, the subscription wins. Most clients start a-la-carte, prove the close-rate lift, and switch within a quarter.

What trades do you serve?

Any contractor selling design-driven residential work, nationwide across the US. Kitchen and bath remodelers are the core, alongside full-home renovators, design-build firms, basement finishers, additions specialists, and GCs moving into higher-finish work. If your client needs to see the project before they'll sign, we fit. Pure production and insurance-restoration work, where nobody is buying a vision, is the one place we're not the right tool.

How does the $1,000 design retainer play work?

Instead of free estimates, you charge homeowners a $1,000 design retainer, fully credited toward the contract when they build with you. The homeowner gets a package worth $2,500 to $5,000 at retail — moodboards, photoreal renderings of their own home, and a line-item estimate — so the ask feels fair. Your hard cost on subscription is about $600, so the design phase runs at a profit before the job even closes. The real win: retainer clients almost never walk, because by the end of design, the project already feels like theirs.

Do unused subscription designs roll over to the next month?

No — capacity resets monthly, like any staffed service. The 10-package ceiling is what lets us guarantee turnaround for every client, and unused slots are capacity we held for you. The smart play is to book strategically: queue up pipeline projects, spec projects for marketing, or updated packages for stalled leads before month-end. If you're regularly leaving multiple slots unused, talk to us about right-sizing your plan.

How do I get started?

Book a call or start with a single a-la-carte package to see the quality on a real project. Onboarding takes about a week: we collect your brand kit (logo, colors, templates) and set up your price list, then you submit your first project — photos or measurements, style direction, and target budget. Your first moodboards arrive within 2 business days of the brief.
